My name is Tanya McComiskie and I run a small rattery in Hertford, Hertfordshire with a little help from my boyfriend Matt. I am a member of the National Fancy Rat Society, and the London & Southern Counties Mouse and Rat Club. I do try to attend as many shows as I can but because of my job it is not always possible.
My main aim here at Ionian Rattery is to improve the health, temperament and longevity in all the rats that I breed. I want them to live long healthy lives and to bring alot of pleasure and joy to the people that own them.
Ionian Rattery is not a registered Stud but is a registered Novice Rattery with the National Fancy Rat Society. Hopefully in the future I will earn my stud name.
Here at Ionian Rattery I will be breeding for British Blue, British Blue Agouti, Black and Agouti in smooth coat, top ear only.
I am recieving guidence from Estelle Sandford of Alpha Centauri Stud and would like to thank her for all the help she has given me and for providing me with 2 of my foundation rats. I would also like to thank Phil and Sue Neate of Aquarius Rattery and Ann Storey of Rivendell Stud for providing me with the 3 gorgeous girls who were mothers to my first litters. With out them my dream of breeding would not have come true.
